The Wedding That Started It All

The Wedding That Started It All

On May 30, 2015, Alex and I were married right here on the farm. Living in NYC at the time and enjoying my ‘city girl’ life, I always thought I would have the shiny, sparkly, city wedding. But, after seeing numerous venues in Queens and Manhattan, I felt defeated. I couldn’t picture Alex and me getting married in any of them, they all felt too cookie-cutter. I came home one weekend to my parent’s house in frustration and distress, and as I’m driving up the long winding driveway, I see my dad fixing a pasture fence and my mom tending to the garden. A light bulb went off, why not get married here? From that point on, there was no looking back.
